Biography

A people’s champion, Nadeem prides himself on delivering a first class legal service, offering simple, straightforward advice. He challenges and looks deeper into the evidence until he is absolutely satisfied that he has achieved the best outcome for his clients.

Growing up, Nadeem saw first-hand the impact the law can have on individuals, families and communities. He wanted to be able to help those who had a legal issue to find the best solution. Access to justice and fairness is what motivated him to complete the LLB Law Degree and the Bar vocational course and to qualify as a Barrister and Solicitor Advocate with higher rights of audience in all courts and in all areas. Nadeem is passionate about using his legal expertise to make sure that rights are protected and the rule of law is respected.

Accredications

Nadeem has achieved accreditations for trial advocacy in both civil and criminal law. Nadeem is a member of the Human Rights Bar and speaks Mirpuri, Punjabi and Urdu, alongside English.

Nadeem's civil caseload includes complex and high value claims relating to business and commercial law. He is a highly experienced civil litigator and accept instructions to advise and represent clients across a wide range of civil disputes including the following areas:

Divorce and Financial Settlement

Nadeem has a great deal of experience advising and representing clients in relation to divorce and financial settlement proceedings. Nadeem's practice in this area includes dealing with cases involving high value and complex assets, including those held in businesses and property (including property held overseas).

He has worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and is experienced in dealing with various cultural issues that arise from divorce proceedings. Nadeem offers specific experience when it comes to cases involving challenges to the validity of marriages with cross-jurisdictional aspects, including Sharia and Islamic marriages.

Children Act 

Nadeem is routinely instructed to advise and represent clients in relation to contested child arrangement order proceedings and the injunctive remedies that such cases often involve, for example prohibited steps orders, non-molestation orders and occupation orders. Nadeem's caseload involves the following issues in family proceedings:

Nadeem offers considerable experience of proceedings featuring allegations of domestic violence and abuse (including substance abuse) and welcomes instructions to represent clients in contested fact-finding hearings. His criminal defence practice lends itself well to providing representation in contested hearings before the family court.

Criminal Defence:

Nadeem is frequently instructed by his client base to defend them against criminal and quasi-criminal regulatory offences in the criminal courts. In addition to 'standard' criminal defence cases (sexual, drug, violent, fraudulent and motoring offences), Nadeem deals with cases prosecuted Local Authorities and a number of other regulatory bodies such as the HSE, EA and Trading Standards. Nadeem has diversified his practice in recent years, he remains very well-placed to advise and represent private clients charged with the full range of criminal offences and is frequently instructed to attend criminal proceedings in the magistrates' court, the crown court and the Court of Appeal. Nadeem is frequently instructed to provide representation in relation to Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) applications and confiscation and asset forfeiture proceedings. 

Employment law

Nadeem is routinely instructed on proceedings in the Employment Tribunal and provides representation for clients in complex and high value claims. He can also be instructed to provide representation for clients at Judicial Mediations, and has succesfully helped a number of clients to reach early settlement on employment law claims.
