Notable Cases & Recent Work
London Underground Ltd v O’Sullivan (UKEAT/0152/15/DA, 2016): represented the employee at liability hearing, remedy hearing, and two appeals, in a case involving long-term depression. The tribunal awarded over £220,000.
P v B Ltd & Others (2015): advised a managing director claiming unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE breaches. The client was on maternity leave at transfer, then made redundant. The case settled for £70,000.
C v L (2014): advised a contractor who reported financial malpractice (whistleblowing). The case settled for over £50,000.
S v D (2013): achieved successful claim for unfair dismissal in context of employee suffering depression; compensation over £80,000.
L v C (2011): acted for claimants in bullying/harassment claims on grounds of sexual orientation, constructive dismissal and unfair dismissal; compensation awarded over £50,000.
Approach & Client Service
Kevin aims to provide clients with a direct, personal service. He reviews key documentation initially (often free unless substantial) and then agrees a step-by-step plan and cost estimate. He strives to be available evenings and weekends, and will travel to meet clients where necessary.
