Samantha has extensive experience across all areas of family law including child arrangements, non-molestation and occupation orders and financial settlement after divorce. She accepts instructions across all areas of her practice to deal with matters involving foreign elements.

She has extensive experience in matters that involve domestic and substance abuse and is frequently instructed to represent clients in fact-finding and final hearings. Having started her practice in criminal law, Samantha is a fierce advocate and has effective cross-examination skills to assist when it comes to defending her client’s positions.

In her financial settlement practice, Samantha has experience of dealing with a wide-range of common issues property and commercial assets (incl. those held overseas), pensions and conduct cases. She is accustomed to dealing with complex cases where the opposing party has made attempts to conceal assets and obfuscate the disclosure process. 

Mediation

Samantha is an internationally accredited mediator and is CMC registered. She has vast experience and has mediated in multiple jurisdictions with a particular focus on commercial and workplace disputes. She has mediated and co-mediated numerous disputes that have included commercial, employment, workplace, housing, and family law.

Samantha has conducted mediations for large corporations, small institutions, and cross-border disputes. She has conducted mediations both in person and online. Samantha has a high success rate of settlements for the mediations she is involved in with most cases settling on the day. She also has a master’s from the University of Cape Town in commercial law.
