He has an understanding of cultural differences when it comes to proceedings involving South Asian clients and culture. Chowdhury has a varied civil litigation practice and routinely advises and represents clients across a broad range of civil and property work, including contract, money and debt claims, landlord and tenant and possession claims. He accepts instructions on civil claims allocated to the Fast Track and Small Claims track. Chowdhury is instructed on behalf of Claimants and Defendants across all areas of his civil and property practice.
Crime and motoring offences
Chowdhury previously worked as an Agent Prosecutor of the Crown Prosecution Service. He currently represents clients on a direct access basis in bail hearings, sentencing, traffic trial and extradition hearings in the Crown, Magistrates and Youth courts for trials. Chowdhury’s experience of working on behalf of the CPS has given him an in-depth understanding of criminal law. He would always assess a case and advise clients at the earliest in order for them to take the benefit of the reduction in sentence for a guilty plea. Chowdhury is happy to provide initial advice in order for the clients to assess whether it is worth challenging a case.
