Chris is a specialist employment and discrimination law barrister who also accepts instructions in personal injury claims for work-related incidents.
He is regularly instructed to cover cases throughout Wales and the Southern Eastern circuit, but can also conduct hearings and meetings remotely where required.
Chris' employment practice ranges from routine unfair dismissal claims to discrimination claims on all of the prohibited grounds. He has considerable experience representing Local Authorities in Education and Safeguarding matters, especially in a disciplinary context (covering both internal disciplinary proceedings and tribunal proceedings).
He previously practiced at the Criminal Bar for a number of years and gained considerable experience at conducting cases (for both prosecution and defence) involving environmental health, food hygiene, trading standards and animal welfare.
Chris is well versed in dealing with public law and human rights-based challenges made to decisions taken in the above, and other, contexts, and has experience of conducting litigation at the highest level, including before the Court of Appeal.
