Michael has a diverse background in crime, family, civil and company law matters. He is a specialist in personal financial arrangements including offshore trusts, pensions (UK and International), offshore bonds and is qualified in both Conventional and Islamic Finance.
Family Law
Michael accepts family finance instructions only, including with regards to pre-nuptial agreements. He is specifically qualified in UK and international financial services (conventional and Islamic finance), international/UK pensions, bonds, trusts and other tax sheltering devices on and offshore.
Commercial Law
Michael's commercial practice is focused primarily on contract and company law. He has a Business Law degree, a diploma in BA, and direct experience in business arrangements around the world, pulling from a background as Director and Shareholder of an internationally operating property company.
Property Law
Michael has worldwide personal, business and legal experience in property law.
Wills & Probate
Michael is a Chartered member of the Financial Services Organisation and regularly deals with beneficiary issues, covering wills, probate, and non-probate based structures both internationally and in the UK.
Crime
Michael has had high level jury trial exposure when in practice previously (murder/homicide, rape and serious sexual offences, drug importation and conspiracies, terrorist offences and fraud), including Old Bailey Trials, as Senior and Leading Junior. He has been contacted to represent GCC nationals and currently lives in Abu Dhabi most of the time.
Financial Services
Michael has significant financial services experience, including a recent decision in which he acted for a client against a major financial institution capable of leading to major group action.
