Background

Monica qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and became a solicitor-advocate in 2024 before transferring to the Bar. That background means she has seen disputes from both sides of the profession and knows how cases are built, funded and won.

She regularly represents landlords and tenants in possession proceedings, housing disrepair claims and deposit disputes, and acts for individuals and businesses in contract, debt and consumer finance matters. She appears in court hearings and trials across the country and has a wealth of experience acting for both claimants and defendants, which gives her a clear view of the tactics and pressures on each side of a case.

Monica also has a rare specialism in equestrian law, advising on disputes involving the sale, purchase, leasing and welfare of horses, as well as veterinary negligence and claims under the Animals Act.

Whatever the issue, Monica focuses on giving clear, honest advice about your options, the strength of your case and the most cost-effective route to resolving it.
